I finally see why people use clarifiers, hehe. The Kolsh isn’t the prettiest looking beer, very cloudy and muggy, but it does taste like it’ll be great once it carbonates. So for my next light beer I’ll probably throw in some irish moss.
The final gravity was 1.010. Giving the Kolsh a decent 4.4% abv.
I think for my next brew I’ll be doing some stronger. Either a Porter or something bitter.

Malt:
6 lbs Pilsen Malt Syrup
1 lbs Light Dry Malt Extract
Hops:
1.5 oz Hallertauer (60 min)
0.5 oz Hallertauer (10 min)
Yeast:
Kolsch Wyeast
OG:
1.044
This is a kind of lager/ale beer hybrid… Hopefully I can keep the temp low enough for an optimum fermentation. Sadly its going to raise to the 80s and 90s maybe on Thursday, and I have no AC. This may be a battle. I think it’ll turn out good anyway.
